The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and directing the movement of vehicles, personnel, and products to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.

Primary duties:

• Schedules and dispatches workers, delivery crew, or service vehicles for the distribution of petroleum products to customers including deliveries, installation, maintenance services and emergency repairs conducted off-site.


• Act as communication personnel for emergency or non-emergency calls; transmit messages and track vehicles.


• Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance by means of radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.


• Receive Dispatch Orders for products or deliveries, communicate work orders and information to and from work crews and supervisors using telephones or two-way radios.

  Arrange for necessary repairs to vehicles in order to adhere to delivery schedules

  
  


• Converse with customers or supervising personnel in order to address concerns and requests for service or equipment
