Job Summary
An organization in the healthcare and services sector is seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of its Guyana office. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational, administrative, and sales capabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to ensure efficient operations while actively driving business development and identifying new opportunities for growth in the Guyanese market.
Job Description

Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee day-to-day administrative and operational functions

  • Manage reporting, cash flow, tax coordination, and internal audits

  • Prepare and support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives

  • Maintain oversight of fixed assets and support financial compliance

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across public and private sectors

  • Collaborate with leadership to drive sales growth and market expansion

  • Support preparation of bids and proposals for local and regional tenders

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and decision-makers

  • Monitor the local market to stay informed of emerging opportunities and competitive activity

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal standards

  • Lead health, safety, and risk management efforts

  • Maintain updated permits, certificates, and HSSE documentation

  • Support internal and external audits and inspections

  • Manage office leases, renovations, equipment, and capital investments

  • Manage all turnkey projects

  • Ensure safe disposal of obsolete items and enforce maintenance schedules

  • Coordinate supply chain activities, including shipping, customs, and warehousing

  • Build relationships with logistics partners and manage cost-effective transportation

  • Maintain and audit asset records for the Guyana office

  • Provide operational insights and recommendations to support strategic goals

  • Proactively anticipate operational needs and recommend improvements




Qualifications & Experience



  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent (preferred)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Project Management or related field

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior operations or sales-driven role

  • Proven ability to develop business, manage client relationships, and close opportunities

  • Experience in logistics, compliance, administration, and finance

  • Knowledge of HSSE practices and regulatory frameworks

  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills

  • Experience in the healthcare, technical, or engineering sectors is a plus
