Job Summary
ESSCO Guyana Inc. is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for showcasing and selling products within the showroom, greeting and assisting walk-in customers, and ensuring the showroom area is always well-presented, clean, and organized. This role requires excellent communication skills, product knowledge, and a professional attitude to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist walk-in customers in the showroom with professionalism and courtesy.
- Showcase, demonstrate, and explain features and benefits of products on display.
- Provide accurate product information, quotations, and after-sales support to customers.
- Process sales transactions in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure the showroom floor is neat, tidy, and well-stocked at all times.
- Monitor product displays and recommend adjustments for improved presentation.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to confidently answer customer inquiries.
- Assist in preparing promotional materials, signage, or displays for showroom campaigns.
- Work closely with the sales team to achieve individual and company sales targets.
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by the Sales Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 CSEC Subjects; additional sales or customer service training is an asset.
- Prior experience in retail sales, showroom or customer service preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Point-of-Sale systems).
- Positive, energetic and customer-focused attitude.
- A valid driver’s license and ownership/access to a vehicle are required for this role
