Objective:


The Commercial Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of all sales to current and new customers, and all promotional activities of the Marketing Department. Responsibilities include preparation of the annual marketing and sales budgets, the oversight of the budgets’ monthly execution, information gathering on sales trends, competition, product performance and general trade movements, as well as the submission of monthly reports on market intelligence information.


 


 


Main Responsibilities include:



  • Responsible for all Customer Segments, Trade Intelligence, Competitive Intelligence. Therefore information will need to be gathered on activity (existing and potential) in the construction industry and any other related sectors.

  • Solicits information on sales trends, competition, product performance and general trade movements and submits monthly reports on market intelligence information gathered.

  • Maintains TGI’s presence in the local market through customer visits.

  • Assists in the planning and execution of all customer/promotional events.

  • Partners with customers on ‘mutual beneficial initiatives’ (creativity in generating or discovering new ideas in person or from customer or the trade, is essential).

  • Prepares and submits customer reports after each visit, including specific recommendations, follow-up actions and results of follow-up actions identified from previous visits.

  • Executes follow-up actions identified in reports.

  • Delivers relevant correspondence and price information etc., to customers as required.

  • Develops and prepares a quarterly Customer Communication within the first week of each quarter.

  • Serves as a Team Member on the weekly TGI Coordination Meetings.

  • Responsible for implementation of crucial elements of the Customer Service Plan.

  • Reviews progress on the Plan, Quarterly.

  • Manages customer credit limits and upcoming due accounts.

  • Delivers invoices, collects cheques and follows-up on delinquent accounts as directed by the Management.

  • Required to apply statistical theories (Variance Analysis, Regression, etc) to raw data to assist in decision making.

  • Provides support and assistance for Market Defense Strategies as required by the Management.

  • Investigates and records all customer complaints within one day of receipt of complaint and executes follow-up actions as specified by the ISO procedures. Must ensure that there is a resolution to the complaint.

  • Visit potential customers and provides recommendations for wholesale applications as required in compliance with Management decisions.

  • Updates Customer Relations Management (CRM) database with new information on current customers and new customers within two days of approval of wholesale status. Minimum weekly updates.

  • Offers product advice and technical support to all customers by conducting site visits to large and small construction project


 


 


Required Education / Expertise / Skills:



  • BSc in Marketing or Management Studies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel - Advanced)

  • Results-oriented

  • Excellent time management, planning and coordination skills

  • Great strategic thinking and marketing skills

  • Strong communication (oral, written) and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Valid driver’s license for motor car

  • Must be able to work flexible schedule


 


 


Required Experience:



  • Minimum experience of 2-3 years in marketing / sales field.
