We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of our diesel-powered fleet/equipment. You will use advanced diagnostic software and specialized tools to ensure all vehicles operate at peak performance while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics: Use computerized diagnostic equipment and engine analyzers to identify mechanical and electrical malfunctions in engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
Repairs: Perform complex repairs including engine overhauls, fuel injection system adjustments, and replacement of turbochargers, pistons, and cooling systems.
Maintenance: Execute routine preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, including oil changes, fluid flushes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
Systems Expertise: Inspect and service hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, as well as exhaust and emissions control components.
Documentation: Maintain precise digital service records, work logs, and parts inventory using shop management software.
Safety & Compliance: Conduct federal and state-mandated safety inspections and emissions testing to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Test Drives: Operate heavy-duty vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose performance issues under real-world conditions.

Qualifications & Skills
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of a Diesel Technology program or vocational degree is highly preferred. Diploma in Heavy duty mechanic.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working on medium to heavy-duty diesel engines.
Certifications: ASE Diesel Certifications (e.g., T-series) are a significant plus.
Driver’s License: Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic software (e.g., Cummins Insite, CAT ET) and manual tools (pneumatic wrenches, multimeters, welding equipment).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in confined or awkward positions.
