The Community Relations Officer/ Specialist III is responsible for ensuring that the company and its contractors provide timely, consistent, and accurate information to individuals, communities, and local authorities regarding projects and operations. This role involves conducting direct consultations to identify concerns, leading public awareness campaigns, and aligning development investments with the company's strategic objectives. The officer will advise on strategic mitigation measures for community impacts and prepare community relations reports.

The Candidates’ duties shall include the following: Foster strong relationships with communities, leaders, and stakeholders across the country. Manage community investments, sponsorships, and outreach events to boost the company’s reputation. Support the design and execution of community programs (e.g., youth, sports, women’s empowerment) aligned with business and national developmental goals. Plan and coordinate company participation in exhibitions, conferences, tradeshows, and career fairs. Gather feedback, assess program impact, report results, and work with media teams for positive coverage. Maintain a flexible work schedule to attend community events often held during evenings and weekends. Travel to various regions and remote areas to support and maintain community engagement. Assist Public & Government Affairs with community relations contributions and sponsorship plans. Handle approvals, maintain events calendar, and contribute innovative community engagement ideas. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Community Relations Supervisor.

Requirements: University Degree in Social Sciences, Socioeconomics or Public Relations background. Strong interpersonal effectiveness, communications, writing, and editing skills. Must be able to work effectively within diverse cultures. Must be available to plan, attend and support events, during the evenings and weekends. Assignments or events may require overnight stays.
