Duties/Responsibilities:
· Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records. · Prepare and post journal entries for various accounting transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
· Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. · Conduct bank reconciliations and reconcile accounts payable and receivable records.
· Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor invoice processing and customer billing.
· Review and analyze expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgets.
· Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial data and analysis to aid in decision-making.
· Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
· Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations. · Assist in tax compliance, including preparing tax returns and reconciling tax accounts.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function.
· Organize and maintain financial records and documentation in a secure and organized manner.
· Prepare various financial reports and ad-hoc analysis for management as required.
· Discuss the financial findings in weekly/bi-weekly meetings with clients
· Manage Jr accountants in terms of delegating, reviewing and approving work, and training them on processes and best practices.
· Manage multiple financial portfolios at the same time
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
· ACCA certification required
· 4+ years experience in accounting or finance roles.
· Strong customer service skills
· Solid understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, especially Excel.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
· Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is advantageous.
· Quickbooks Required, Aplos Software is a plus
