Job Summary
To provide quality consultative service to all customers entering store. This includes prompt recognition and assistance with customers, providing product advice and soliciting sales through use of approved selling techniques, matching automotive paints to customer specifications and providing customers with technical advice on products, mixing ratios and preparation and application techniques. Also responsible for ensuring that store housekeeping and merchandising of products is maintained to franchise standards.
Job Description
- Provide highest standard of courteous service to each customer.
- Acknowledge and recognize in a friendly manner, customers as they enter store.
- Process customer orders for paint jobs to customer’s specifications by using equipment in accordance to our procedures. (Adam 5, Motomix 3/2, Colour Box)
- Provide customers with technical advice on products, mixing ratios, and preparation and application techniques.
- Keep in contact with your customers to confirm that they are pleased with the refinishing results, and promptly report any unresolved matters to Retail Operations Manager/Professional Sales Representative (Paint).
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all aspects of automotive refinishing products and application techniques.
- Ensure all areas of the refinishing section as well as equipment is neat and clean at all times.
- Offer assistance to your customers in locating products and provide consultative advice about our products.
- Suggest add-ons as appropriate, as well as suggest new or improved products as they become available on the retail floor.
- Maintain equipment and tools according to established procedures
- Take inventory on a regular basis and place timely requests for replenishment with your supervisor, being especially careful to make sure that paint room tints are stocked at all times.
- Follow safety protocols at all times.
- Responsible for providing feedback and recommendations to Retail Operations Manager on improvements to operating standards and practices.
- Responsible for identifying and notifying supervisor (written in lost sales booklet) of items that customers requested and were not in stock (“lost sales”)
- To fulfill other responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the Retail Operations Manager.
