The Accountant / Accounts Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring proper control over the company’s cash and non-cash transactions. The role involves payroll review, statutory compliance, tax filings, and reconciliation of accounts using accounting software such as QuickBooks. The successful candidate will support the financial operations of the organization and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Record, monitor, and reconcile all cash and non-cash transactions.
Review and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Calculate, prepare, and submit statutory deductions including NIS, PAYE, and applicable taxes.
Prepare and file tax returns and statutory reports within required deadlines.
Maintain, balance, and reconcile QuickBooks accounts on a regular basis.
Prepare financial reports, summaries, and schedules as required by management.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting and payroll records.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
Perform any other accounting or administrative duties as assigned.
Certificate, diploma, or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of NIS, PAYE, and local tax regulations is an asset.
